NJ Tourism Director Jake Buganski to Headline Crossroads’ Annual Meeting- March 31

Crossroads is excited to announce that Jake Buganski, Executive Director of New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism, will be the featured speaker at Crossroads’ Annual Meeting on March 31st.
Charged with leading and promoting New Jersey’s $43 billion travel and tourism industry, Jake is responsible for the state’s travel trade development, tourism product development, visitor welcome services and tourism industry outreach programs.
Before assuming his duties as acting tourism director in December of 2016, Jake served as President of Corning and the Southern Finger Lakes – a tourism bureau in Upstate New York – for just under a year. He secured his position in the Finger Lakes based on 10 years of service with Visit South Jersey (VSJ; formerly the South Jersey Tourism Corporation), including more than 6 years as Executive Director. During his time at VSJ, Jake helped develop the Outer Coastal Plain wine region as a destination, and in 2014 saw the four counties that VSJ officially represents – Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem – rank as four of the top five in tourism growth in the state.
Jake is a Certified Destination Management Executive – the highest certification available for tourism professionals through Destination Marketing Association International – and a passionate tourism industry advocate. Raised in South Jersey and a graduate of Rowan University, Jake is a resident of Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, where he lives with his wife, Lauren.
