Early American Ice Cream and Patriotic Fiddle Music at the Johnson Ferry House, Washington Crossing State Park, New Jersey

Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 1 pm to 5 pm

Food Historian Susan McLellan Plaisted of Heart to Hearth Cookery will be making this favorite American treat using the recipes and techniques of the late 18th century. Some “hands on” help needed and small samples of this treat will be available. Listen to Jim Kurzenberger as he plays the country fiddle and singalong to Patriotic music from the Revolutionary War era. The Farm House, Kitchen Garden and Stone Barn Woodshop will be open and interpreted. This is an enjoyable and educational event for the entire family.
