Patriotism and Propaganda: A History of Military Recruiting Posters

Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 7:00 pm

Michael Jesberger presents a fascinating program about recruiting posters used during the American Revolution, the American Civil War, World War I, and World War II. These colorful, ubiquitous ads were used to persuade Americans to enlist in the armed forces, buy war bonds and use caution when talking about troop movements. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Registration required.
