Punch & Pie at Mrs. Kearney’s Tavern
Friday, November 3, 2017 at 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Punch & Pie at Mrs. Kearney’s Tavern…
On Friday evenings, October 20 and November 3, the staff at the house will host the popular “Punch & Pie” programs, during which about twenty guests enjoy an evening of spiced punch, freshly baked pies and other morsels, and plenty of good cheer — all served by real candlelight and the glow of stone hearths. From beneath his top hat, Mr. Thaddeus MacGregor (by day a musician and teacher who lives in Englewood) will provide music from Mrs. Kearney’s day, while guests enjoy tall tales and real-life adventure yarns about life along Hudson’s River as related by Kearney House director Eric Nelsen. Ample time is allowed for guests to socialize with one another — as well as with staff dressed in period garb — or to explore the house by candlelight.
The “Punch & Pie” programs are from 8 to 10:30 PM. The fee is $16 per guest if reserved in advance through PayPal, or $20 at the door (if spaces remain). Guests over 21 are welcome to bring their own beer or wine to the programs.
