Crossroads of the American Revolution Association, the not-for-profit organization that manages the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area is currently seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Executive Director.
The successful candidate for this full-time salaried position based in Trenton, NJ will lead a team of three professionals in driving a common vision to celebrate the state’s Revolutionary War heritage. The Crossroads region encompasses more than 200 historic sites that draw more than 900,000 visitors each year.
“Over the past several years, Crossroads has forged stronger relationships with our heritage partners across the region, resulting in increased visitorship and awareness,” said Patrick Murray, chair of the association’s Board of Trustees. “Our next executive director will build on that foundation to drive implementation of a statewide signage campaign and programming to prepare for New Jersey’s celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.”
“The ideal candidate should demonstrate passion and creativity in engaging the public to experience and support New Jersey’s unique historic role in the American Revolution,” said Laura Szwak, Crossroads board member and chair of the search committee. The successful candidate is expected to have a background in non-profit program planning and implementation, partnership-building, and fundraising.
