Washington’s Headquarters Museum

Washington CrossingThrough the recent efforts of the Washington Association and the federal government, the Washington’s Headquarters Museum in Morristown National Historical Park has become a renovated and expansive setting for the considerable collection of textiles, maps, weapons, and artifacts related to General Washington’s stay in Morristown during the winter of 1779-1780. While the exterior of the museum is reminiscent of Washington’s Mount Vernon the interior design offers several amenities for educational field trips and historical seminars. Adjacent to the Ford Mansion, the Washington’s Headquarters Museum has National Park Service staff on hand to assist with public tours and general information.
