Registration Open for Heritage Trail’s Historic Arts Workshop- “Hand Stitch a Colonial Mens Cap for Fathers’ Day”

Hand Stitch a cap with/or for your father at the Heritage Trail Association’s Historic Arts Workshop on June 10th from 12pm-4pm. Registration is limited to the first 10 people so for details on how to sign up click here. This workshop will be taught by David Niescior, the tailor at the Old Barracks in Trenton. Using period fabric and materials, you will receive one-on-one attention in this project. You will learn all the proper techniques in hand stitching in the 1770’s. Men as well as women could sew to some degree. Make this cap for your reenacting kit, or just to learn how to make this cap from the expert himself!
David Niescior, M.A. in American History from Rutgers-Camden, is a historical interpreter and tailor at the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton, New Jersey, and winner of the 2016 American History Award for graduate study from the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America! The Heritage Trail Association is happy to have David Nescior conduct our second Historic Arts Workshop of 2018.
