The winning entry in the Revolution NJ logo contest was unveiled by General George Washington and Colonel Henry Knox following the Second Battle of Trenton reenactment in Trenton’s Mill Hill Park on December 28.
Graphic designer Alex Flannery’s entry was chosen through a statewide 
Flannery, a professional graphic designer located in Nutley, NJ, is a New Jersey enthusiast with an interest in history. He is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design. In his contest entry, he explained that his design is meant to highlight New Jersey’s historical importance as the Crossroads of the American Revolution in a simple, sophisticated way, and that the combination of serif and sans serif typography melds historical distinction with a sense of progress and modernity.
