The Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area was established to promote a greater understanding of Revolutionary Era historical sites, communities and other organizations in New Jersey. Established by Congress in 2006, the National Heritage Area’s programs and activities are guided by its federally approved management plan.
The plan provides a roadmap that will help residents and visitors Discover Revolutionary New Jersey as a way to uncover their own Revolutionary spirit.
A short summary of the management plan can be found here: Management Plan Summary.
The plan is divided into two parts. Part I (27M pdf file) documents the comprehensive process used to develop the heritage area’s goals and objectives, establish a focused course of action, and assess the area’s environment. Part II (3M pdf file) is the implementation plan, outlining specific action items for the heritage area to pursue in the near future to meet its goals.
