Now more than ever, concerted efforts at the local, state, and national level are needed to ensure continued support for New Jersey’s public history, heritage tourism, and historic preservation institutions. We face three simultaneous pandemics of health, racism, and the economy. Advocates for New Jersey History invites you to be part of a statewide coalition to strategize about how the history community can address these critical challenges, hold history institutions accountable to change, and communicate the relevance of history to key decision makers.
This essential conversation will be in two parts:
Part 1 (Tuesday, July 7, 1 pm to 2:30 pm) : Interactive, discussion-based program to brainstorm needs, actions, and messaging
Part 2 (Tuesday, July 21, 1 pm to 2:30 pm): Advocacy workshop to provide concrete tools for advancing history advocacy right now
