Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites

Walk with our historian from Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage to Somerville’s Old Cemetery to visit the historic grave of Civil War nurse Arabella Barlow, descended from the Hardenbergh family of Old Dutch Parsonage and the Wallace family of Wallace House. On the way stop to learn about the historic preservation of Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage over the past 125 years and new efforts to research and share the life and history of this Civil War nurse and pioneering woman from New Jersey.

Walk covers about 2 1/2 miles on paved sidewalks and takes about 1 1/2 hours. Bring water to drink and wear sturdy walking shoes.
