Game Based Learning: How Gaming Can Be Used in Education

Join Jared Fishman, Co-Founder and Co-Director of HMGS Next Gen, on how to integrate game based learning into the classroom. With over 17 years of teaching experience, Jared has successfully integrated gaming culture into the classroom. He will discuss classroom strategies, tried and true simulations and general perspectives on integrating games as an engaging tool for educators.

HMGS Next Gen was founded in August of 2020 as an extension of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society. Its goal is to seed and fund the growth of game clubs in the United States and around the globe. By facilitating game design thinking along with game based professional development, HMGS Next Gen aims to grow the hobby and the critical thinking that it fosters.
