Giving Thanks: Origins of the American Thanksgiving Holiday

GIVING THANKS, Origins of the American Thanksgiving Holiday will take place at the Johnson Ferry House in Washington Crossing State Park, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 17 from 12 to 4 p.m. Rain date: October 24 (without music).

This event will be held outdoors and will include early American Thanksgiving hymns and songs, preparation of a harvest feast on the fire pit, colonial education, and kitchen garden tours.

This is a good family event that is free to the public. Donations are appreciated.

The Johnson Ferry House is located inside Washington Crossing State Park in New Jersey. Enter the park from Route #546, Washington Crossing Pennington Road and follow the signs to the Johnson Ferry House.
