Hannah Caldwell Day at Caldwell Parsonage

Join Rev. James Caldwell (portrayed by Doc Burkyardt) as he greets visitors to Caldwell Parsonage to recall his wife Hannah Caldwell’s heroism during the June 7, 1780 Battle of Connecticut Farms. The Caldwell Parsonage will be open on June 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Family-friendly activities include:
- Tours of the parsonage and tool-TV-radio museum
- New exhibits including “Hannah’s At-Home Dress” by costume consultant Gail Alterman, and “Local Heroes of the Revolution” by historian Michael Yesenko.
- Creating tricorn hats and colonial-style bonnets
- Making church dolls
- Playing colonial and Native American games
- Shopping vintage book sales
Union County history trading cards of Hannah Caldwell, Rev. James Caldwell and the Battle of Connecticut Farms will be available.
Holders of Union County History Passports and Passports to Your National Parks can also get official Caldwell Parsonage stamps for the county and Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area.
Admission is free, and souvenirs will be available for purchase.
