During Downtown Somerville’s Show Your Local Love Event visit for “open grounds” as we share Somerville’s suffrage stories from the delegates to the Provincial Congress of New Jersey that granted limited women’s suffrage in 1776 to the politicians and activists from New Jersey who secured the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States 100 years ago.

Check out the pop-up exhibit “Rightfully Hers” from the National Archives complemented with our own local historical interpretation.
