Watson House Mother’s Day Open House
Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Visit Mercer County’s oldest house — the 1708 Watson House, now the home of the NJ Daughters of the American Revolution. Built on a bluff overlooking Watson’s Creek, the Isaac Watson House was restored by NJDAR in 1964, as part of the New Jersey Tercentenary Celebration.
Isaac Watson was the son of Quakers who came to this country from England in 1684. The furniture now displayed in this fine stone house predates 1790, and several pieces were made by New Jersey craftsmen.
Tours run for 30 minutes; last tour begins at 3:30 pm.
Event is free of charge, donations gratefully accepted in support of maintaining Watson House for the future.
