DIRECTIONS AND PARKING OPTIONS

  • DO NOT follow directions on Google Maps to “Hunterdon County Courthouse” or you may end up at the modern Justice Center on Capner St. (a couple of blocks away).
  • The Historic Courthouse is located within the Main Street complex of county buildings 71-75 Main Street, Flemington (use 71 Main Street for wayfinding apps) – directly across from the shuttered Union Hotel. Parking is behind the complex. It is signed “employee parking” but you may park there and you will not be ticketed. It is well-lit and safe.
  • The historic courthouse (big, white, with columns and cupola), the County Clerk’s office (Federal brick) and the contemporary brick/glass County Admin building are in a block together. You may access the parking area via the driveway between the County Admin building and the tiny historic office (1-story Greek Revival, white clapboard).
  • After parking in the lot: There is a narrow walkway between the gray stone building and the first brick building. Come through that, turn right, and enter the glass doors. The Courtroom is located on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse, and can be accessed via stairs or elevator.
