Sue Kaufmann

Sue Kaufmann has a broad range of communications experience in corporate and agency settings, having worked at the MWW Group, PSE&G and Hewlett-Packard. After 20 years in the for-profit world, she switched gears to provide communications services to Save Ellis Island and other non-profit organizations while volunteering as an interpretive guide and museum educator at two National Park Service sites. She joined Crossroads in 2014.

The Communication Director balances her time between Crossroads-specific work and efforts on the 250th, providing strategic counsel and the tactical work to set it into action. This includes managing messaging adherence with the Crossroads brand across all public facing media, including the monthly e-newsletters, web site content and social media, as well as presentations like the annual meeting. She works closely with the Executive Director on the signage program, serving as liaison to the historic site, drafting signage copy and working with the graphic/signage company on installation. She also does grant writing.  She was the key staff point person for the site assessment and outreach to partners. She works on the marketing/branding for the 250th in conjunction with the NJ Historical Commission staff.
