Morven commemorates the 400 year anniversary of the first enslaved Africans arriving in America with a highly anticipated lecture by Dr. Cheryl Finley of Cornell University. On October 16th, Finley will be discussing her book "Committed to Memory: The Art of the Slave Ship Icon" at both 2:00 p.m. and a 6:30 p.m. with a lecture and book signing.
