Take a closer look at those coins in your piggy bank! During early American times, colonists used a variety of currency to make purchases. We’ll look back at how colonial commerce functioned from bartering to trading in various currencies. Then, we’ll learn how modern coins are designed before creating an original design for our own currency. This drop-off program is designed for students in grades 1 to 5 and includes a snack.
