February 19 @ 11:30 am - 3:00 pm

Rediscover History at the Washington Association of New Jersey’s 150th Annual Meeting and Luncheon, February 19, 2024, at the Madison Hotel, Morristown, New Jersey. The event begins with a social hour at 11:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon with a choice of Roast Rib of Beef, Chicken Francaise, or a Vegetarian option.

Delve into the past with Dr. Richard Veit’s presentation on “Unearthing the Log House City,” revealing insights into the Continental Army encampments using advanced archaeological techniques. Dr. Veit, a renowned professor and interim provost at Monmouth University, is an acclaimed expert in Colonial Middle Atlantic archaeology. Also, Jennifer Janofsky, Ph.D., will present an engaging discussion on her team’s findings at the Red Bank Battlefield, including its efforts to identify the remains of soldiers from the 1777 Battle of Red Bank. Dr. Janofsky’s work is a testament to the importance of preserving and understanding our historical heritage.

Tickets are $100, and we kindly request your RSVP with guest names and meal preferences by February 15, 2024, to ensure your food choices are available.

This event promises to be a blend of historical exploration and friendly interaction. We eagerly anticipate your presence at this landmark meeting.
