The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Historic Preservation Office, and the NJ Historic Sites Council are pleased to announce the 26th Annual Historic Preservation Awards Program. National Preservation Month happens every May, and throughout New Jersey, in all of our communities, there are important places that celebrate our history. These places are varied, such as schools, churches, battlefields, homes, sites, or farms, but they all tell the story of New Jersey.
They are now accepting nominations for projects involving these varied historic places for award consideration. Awards will be made to those individuals, projects or programs that are judged to demonstrate exceptional merit in the field of historic preservation. The deadline for submissions is April 3
The NJ SHPO Awards ceremony will take place at Morristown’s Washington’s Headquarter’s Museum Auditorium at 2:00pm.
