Lawrence Schmidt joined Crossroads of the American Revolution Association, Inc. in May 2023 as its Director of Development, bringing with him a diverse and deep experience within New Jersey’s nonprofit community. Schmidt has served in various capacities at New Jersey museums, historic sites, arts groups and institutions, and social service nonprofits as well as a board member and consultant/advisor to such organizations. As a development officer, he has secured funding from government and private sources, planned and led annual fundraising campaigns, coordinated social fundraising events, and successfully brought millions of dollars to advance organizations’ missions and special initiatives. A native of New Jersey, Mr. Schmidt holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied history and historic preservation.
