What better way to spend a hot summer day, then at the DAR Van Bunschooten Museum dreaming about cool weather and celebrating Christmas in July! The Chinkchewunska Chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution will host their annual open house event “Christmas in July” on July 12, 13 and 14 (Friday-Sunday) from 11-4 each day. Visitors will enjoy live music, demonstrators, the Attic Treasure tag sale, Quilts in the Barn sale, and an open hearth cooking demonstration with free samples! Complimentary tours of the historic home of Rev. Elias Van Bunschooten will also be given by members of the DAR in colonial costumes. Tours of the outbuildings will be given by members of the Children of the American Revolution in costume.
