What better way to spend a hot summer day, then at the DAR Van Bunschooten Museum dreaming about cool weather and celebrating Christmas in July! The Chinkchewunska Chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution will host their annual open house event “Christmas in July” on July 22,23 and 24 (Friday-Sunday) from 11-4 each day. Visitors will enjoy live music, vendors, demonstrators, crafters, the Attic Treasure tag sale, and a complimentary tour of the historic home of Rev. Elias Van Bunschooten given by members of the DAR in colonial costumes. Tours of the outbuildings will be given by members of the Children of the American Revolution in costume. On Sunday July 24th, there will be a special open hearth cooking demonstration with free samples!
