Crossroads Annual Meeting / Revolution NJ update available on replay

A recording of the combined Crossroads of the American Revolution Annual Meeting and Revolution NJ quarterly update is available on YouTube.

The April 8 meeting included an overview Crossroads’ 2020 accomplishments as well our ongoing work with the New Jersey Historical Commission on Revolution NJ, New Jersey’s commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Crossroads’ Executive Director Janice Selinger announced plans for the organization’s statewide Revolutionary heritage travel app, with work currently underway on an inaugural Ten Crucial Days/March to Morristown route. A follow-up information session with more details on the mobile app’s functionality and planned routes will be held on April 28 at 3:00 p.m.; please watch your email and Crossroads social media for participation details.

Guest speaker Sarah Lawrence College Associate Professor of History Dr. Eileen Ka-May Cheng presented insights on America’s First Civil War: The Loyalists and the American Revolution. Using a dialogue format between two 18th century Americans, she addressed the perspectives of both Loyalists and Revolutionaries and why they differed so sharply on the question of independence from Britain.
