Start the new year off with an invigorating walk … and learn some history, too … as New Jersey State Parks host First Day hikes on January 1. Crossroads Heritage Partner sites like Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Batsto Village, Washington Crossing State Park and Boxwood Hall are all offering easy walks and hikes that will get your year started on the right foot.
While the hikes are free of cost, some require advance registration, so check the State Parks website for more information.
