This week’s featured heritage partner is the Freehold Township Heritage Society. This non-profit organization helps preserve and restore Historic Sites in Freehold Township including the Oakley Farmhouse where they host two annual artisan festivals featuring reenactors, a blacksmith, weaving and wool spinning, butter churning, etc. They also offer house tours by request. The Society has a “wish list” which includes Open House and Festival Tour Guides, Festival Workers, Rag Rug Weavers, Handypersons, Weeders, Planters, Waterers and antique items for the Farmhouse Museum.
