HP of the Week- 1759 Vought House Featuring their 2nd Annual “Confiscation” Auction Oct. 1

This week’s featured heritage partner is the 1759 Vought House. Join them for their 2nd Annual “Confiscation” Auction on Oct. 1 at 9:30am. During the Revolution, many New Jersey families who remained loyal to the British Crown saw their homes and belongings confiscated and sold by the Patriot government. This Loyalist Vought homestead in Clinton will once again be the site of an auction, but this one will be a lot more fun! Support the restoration of this historic structure as the 1759 Vought House hosts its second annual auction with offerings including new and gently used furniture, artwork, rugs, quilts, collectibles, tools and more! Come and bid or just watch… and be transported back in time to a lesser-known part of Revolutionary history. For more information click here.
