The Trent House is the site of an ongoing archaeological project! The public is invited on Fridays and Saturdays, now through July 6, from 1-3pm, to come out and watch professional archaeologists begin an archaeological dig right here on the property.
This excavation will give insight into what was on the property before the time of Mr. Trent. One of the things that we will specifically be looking for will be the foundation of the former residence of Mahlon Stacy, also known as Dorehouse. The Trent House has partnered with Richard Hunter of Hunter Research, and Dr. Richard Veit of Monmouth University to accomplish this goal. Come see what they will unearth!
